Ten-year-old Kassidie Rae McMillin was removed from life support early Saturday morning and her neighborhood is eerily quiet.
An eerie quiet enveloped Windemere Apartment complex on Sunday afternoon. Signs that an energetic young girl ever lived at the Main Street development were nowhere to be found less than a day after 10-year-old Kassidie Rae McMillin's biological father removed her from the life support she was on after undergoing surgery to the wounds she received from being shot in the head by her mother Thursday evening. The yellow crime scene tape immediately after the shooting was gone and no makeshift memorials for the slain San Jose Elementary fourth grader had been constructed outside the corner unit — Apartment 146 of Building O — where she once lived. And none of the few residents milling around nearby had any first-hand knowledge of what Kassidie’…
