National Prescription Drug Take Back days bring light to prescription medication abuse and help remove hundreds of thousands of pounds of pills from cabinets across the country, according to the Drug Enforcement Agency. Studies show that a majority of abused prescription drugs are obtained from family and friends, including those cabinets at home, according to Clearwater Police.
