I've been painting and writing since I could hold a crayon. Whether in the Berskshire foothills or out on Honeymoon Island, landscape and the natural world, provoke and inspire me to paint and write. Current paintings (which can be seen at working studio/shop: Lucie-Mae's Beach House in Dunedin) are influenced by regular walks at Honeymoon Island. For me, it’s not about creating a likeness so much as conveying a feeling. I grew up in New England but I fell in love with Honeymoon Island here in Dunedin. It is here, with my feet in the sand that I feel most at home.
