When I first came to Dunedin in 2009, I went shopping for bikes and decided to go with Bob's store. I bought two Giant Cypress DXs with an upgrade in the tires, Topeak bags and Cateye lights/odometer! I never regretted it. In the first year, I was told to bring then back anytime for checkups, tuneups, whatever. The customer service was the best I could ever get. It has continued to be so three years later. I've come in several times this year already and got the same service. They showed my how to adjust my handlebars and seat by doing it in front of me. I've bought my helmet and am getting a new house pump from them when it comes it. Everyone there knows bikes. I feel very comfortable with their advice and it always matches with my own homework. You got a problem, they will fix it! I'm a customer of Bob & the whole team there for life!

I've eaten here twice, once by mistake, and once succumbing to my granddaughter's request. I won't do it again. I prefer to support any number of our locally owned businesses who are more concerned about healthy options as well as preparation!

I ran into Deb this morning at Serendipity Cafe. I mentioned that I had four beautifully made used chairs given to me which I was going to use in my kitchen. I wanted to recondition with a stain that would match my cherry cabinets. I also mentioned that Home Depot had offered some suggestions. I wanted to know what she thought. I was able to show her a chair since they were the exact same chairs the Cafe used. Deb confirmed that I go ahead and use the stain, insuring that I do it carefully to preserve the beautiful grain of the wood. She could have offered to do them for me at a price. Her work is outstanding. Instead, she encouraged me to embrace the project. THAT, my friends, is superior customer service. It also solidified her as a good friend, a valuable resource, and a representative of Dunedin spirit we want in our town!

I said it before and I'll say it again! Deb will do anything she can to assist the customer. About two weeks ago, I had made some comments on an original painting she did. I truly enjoyed it. The price was approximately $1800. She told me that if I was going to make an investment like that, I should take it hope, hang it and live with it for a while. If it didn't make the magic, I could bring it back! I think that says it all.

Since this past St Paddy's Day, I've run Flanagan's 5K, bellied up to the bar three times, and did the fundraiser for owner Noel Cooney. OMG, I loved the atmosphere. It reminded me of a Pub in Ireland I visited over 38 years ago! I know I'm hooked. Ah, Dunedin, how I love thee! Sláinte!

    Here's my update...
After being away too long, we brought my visitin' cuz, a meat lover from Kansas, into the 'house! The warm up had to be the wings. They had a tasty rub, and were smoked, and bake-finished. For the main event, I got the combo so I could get a good taste of everything. I enjoyed the smoke flavor throughout the ribs, the pulled pork, and the sausages. (chorizo and cajun chosen) Loved the addition of the peppers and onions! All cuts were righteous. The sides of cornbread (sweet) and baked beans (pork all in it!) were tasty. The choice of sauces (5 different) were so much fun as we mixed all through dinner. I also tried cuz's brisket! Another fine cut! No dessert...but wanted to give Michael, our server, a shout out for a great job and making us feel at home.

My cousin and I DID go back the next day at 11am before going to the Blue Jays-Red Sox spring training game to split the Pecan Pie and a Banana S'more so I could review them! Joanna, our bartender, took it in stride as we downed dessert with beers! She was also a sweetheart and great to talk to. Both desserts were outstanding. The Pecan Pie was perfect and not too sweet. The S'more was downright awesome! I now have two fave desserts here! It was also great to see Melissa, the GM here, again! I encourage you to tell her about your experience. She is most accommodating and caring.

I highly recommend you stop by one of our top go-to places for visitors & friends alike, Dunedin Smokehouse!
