ReplyI wish I had read this several months ago. I had been using the blue tablets in the tank which has caused the flapper to start leaking. And then I used a plunger to clear a clog, and blew out the wax ring. Where were you when I needed you Ed?

On the article Palm Harbor Teen Accused of Sexual Battery

ReplyI am dismayed to see this "news" story at the top of the Patch newsletter. I believe in this country we are still innocent, until proven guilty. This young man has been accused and arrested -- not convicted. Should he be found guilty, there is a story worth reporting. She he be found "not guilty" what will this "news" story and others like it do to his chances of getting into college or getting a job? The recent decision by Patch to plaster the photos and names of local adults who are charged with crimes is distasteful, and smacks of "gotcha" journalism. To sensationalize the arrest of a minor in this manner is just plain wrong.

ReplyJust one of the many ways in which the New World Celts provide service in our community. It always makes me feel good at special events knowing they are there helping with security, which they do on a volunteer basis. Thanks NWC!

ReplyFor clarity -- the property was designed for entertaining, and used by the President of the College for this purpose. It was not designed by the President of the College.

Well it was a hard job, but someone had to do it. Glad it was you instead of me. Thanks for all the great insights. I have to agree that the view and service outside at Bon Appetit is outstanding. Look forward to seeing you around town and reading more F & B scene articles from you.

On the article Downtown Art Overlay District Talks Continue

ReplyI think the concept of a live/work arts district is a good one. A great example of a vibrant live/work artist community is Castleberry Hill in Atlanta. http://castleberryhill.org/ The 20th century warehouses were converted to artists lofts and galleries back in the 80's and were soon joined by restaurants, cafes and special events. I think a well convieved arts overlay district would complement and enhance the businesses along Main.

On the article Home Prices on the Rise: Has the Dunedin Market Stabilized?

ReplyAs a Realtor who specializes in Dunedin, I can report that single family homes, in good locations, good condition and properly priced, are selling within days of being listed. Often for list price or more. The demand for homes in Dunedin exceeds the supply of homes for sale, which is helping to drive prices up little by little. At the same time, continued short sales and foreclosures are putting pressure in the opposite direction. The bottom line is, if you were thinking of selling your home, now is the time to talk to a real estate professional.

ReplyI would use the $500 to take my Mom on a cruise out of Tampa to no-where. Just get on the boat, put up our feet, and sip Margaritas until they make us get off.

I have to agree with Liz. When did a library stop being a place with rules against making noise?
